The statewide event is designed for entrepreneurs, startup leaders, investors, innovators, business leaders, universities, economic development organizations, resource partners, and others working to build and grow companies across Maryland.
Throughout the day, attendees will have opportunities to connect with people and organizations that can help companies move forward, from investors and experienced founders to business advisors and entrepreneurial support organizations. The Expo combines workshops, roundtable discussions, keynote conversations, live company pitches, networking, and a large exhibitor showcase featuring resources for companies at different stages of growth.
The 2026 program will tackle many of the issues founders face as they build and finance their companies. Announced sessions include candid conversations about what venture investors look for when evaluating companies, preparing investor-ready financials throughout the startup lifecycle, building an AI-ready company, and what it really takes to build and scale a business in Maryland. The program will also examine entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience, technology commercialization, and the broader innovation economy.
Attendees will also have a chance to see emerging companies and entrepreneurs pitch their ideas. The program includes TEDCO’s Concept Capital Pitch Competition as well as the Future Founders: University Innovators Pitch Competition, which showcases entrepreneurs coming out of Maryland universities.
The Expo also provides access to a broad cross-section of Maryland’s innovation ecosystem. Current exhibitors include organizations representing economic development, technology, cybersecurity, life sciences, universities, business support programs, capital resources, and startup services.
More than 1,100 people attended the 2025 Entrepreneur Expo, which featured more than 100 speakers, more than 100 exhibitors, 50 startup exhibitors, and 23 sessions. The scale of the event creates opportunities not only to learn from speakers, but also to meet potential investors, customers, collaborators, advisors, and other entrepreneurs from across the state.
For entrepreneurs and others involved in Maryland’s innovation economy, the 2026 Expo offers a full day to learn what investors and experienced business leaders are seeing in the market, discover resources available to help companies grow, hear directly from other founders, and build new relationships across the entrepreneurial community.
