The Crab Trap Competition returns for its 9th year as the BioHealth Capital Region’s signature startup pitch event — spotlighting transformative early-stage companies in biopharma, diagnostics, digital health, medical devices, and other life sciences sectors.
Each year, a panel of industry-leading judges selects five finalists to pitch live in front of hundreds of attendees during the BioHealth Capital Region Forum. Finalists gain valuable exposure, expert feedback, and the opportunity to win prizes designed to accelerate their growth.
How It Works:
Startups from across the U.S. and internationally are invited to apply. Judges review all submissions and select five finalists who will present in person on September 24. One company will be chosen as the winner and receive a package of prizes valued at over $45,000.
2025 Prize Package Includes:
💰 $10,000 in Cash
🖥️ $25,000 in IT & Cybersecurity Services from InfoPathways
🧪 $10,000 in CRO Services from Noble Life Sciences, Inc. and Accelevir Diagnostics
Additional prizes may be announced as new sponsors come on board.
